Hello! I am a Jakir Hasan! Currently, I am working as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Computer Science and Engineering department at Leading University. Previously I worked as a Software Engineer in the Research & Development (R&D) department at REVE Systems, under the guidance of Maniruzzaman Monir. I hold a B.Sc. degree from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, where I had the privilege of being advised by Dr. Mohammad Shahidur Rahman.

At REVE Systems, my work involves developing low-latency audio processing algorithms for VoIP (Voice over IP) applications and enhancing customer support through an AI-powered voice bot for the banking sector. Previously, I worked on developing a robust audio mixing algorithm, AI-based noise cancellation, acoustic echo and feedback loop cancellation, and dynamic bitrate adaptation based on network conditions.

I am passionate about building real-time, low-cost AI-powered speech technologies with profound societal impact. My recent work, BanglaTalk, introduces the first real-time speech assistant system for Bengali regional dialects, enhancing access to information for the diverse community of Bengali speakers worldwide.

My research focuses on enriching the low-resource Bengali language. I have contributed to projects including the development of a Bangla neural lemmatizer, text-to-IPA transcription, automatic speech recognition (ASR) for regional dialects, and image classification. You can also check out my blog.
